We all know the world is overrun with technology, so why not use it when it comes to organizing and planning your wedding? I am certainly not suggesting to not hire a wedding planner…because you need to do that (for reasons why, read this); however there are things such as registering for gifts and mailing invitations that the wedding planner doesn't do, so it's up to you to take care of it and there are some apps that can help you stay organized and on task.
This app is just for fun…and also for free. It's a wedding countdown on your phone or iPad that you have but you can email it to your friends and family as well. Some people get lost in the madness of wedding planning or don't take time to appreciate the memories being made and this app brings your day into perspective…and keeps you on task.
Another free app; and we all know wedding dress shopping can be a nightmare! I recommend looking at all different styles of dresses to know what you like and what you don't like. The internet can be overwhelming because there are so many different designers and brands, but this app compiles all dress styles, colors, and price ranges into one place…what a life saver!
This app is convenient in that it keeps all your gift registries from multiple stores in one place. It also allows you to compare prices to find the best options for your guests. Not only that, it keeps you from "double registering" at different stores.
A wedding planner will help you map out your table arrangement, and depending on the formality of your event…you may need a seating chart. Once you and your planner have determined the number of guests, number of tables, etc. you can start a seating chart for your guests with this app. It helps you see the big picture but is also nice in case you need to move or change anything, it is easily done.
5. Appy Couple
This one's fun; this app allows you to create a personal website/app for you and your guests to stay updated with the events of the wedding. Personal wedding blogs and websites are becoming very popular because it allows your guests to stay up to date with plans, locations, and the engagement in general. This app is a collective spot to have photos, themes, locations, lodges, vendors, etc. all listed in one place. It's not only for you to stay organized but also to share information with your guests. You don't need 100 calls from Grandma asking for details; use this app to keep her (and the rest of your guests) informed!
This app is useful in the fact that you will have a bunch of invitations to send out…do you have all the addresses? Chances are you don't have everyone's; this app allows you to send out a mass email to family and friends sharing a link to an address book. They can then enter their address and other info for you to view! It's very convenient and a great organized system for all those save the dates, invites, and thank-you's you will be sending out!
Remember, no one can replace your wedding planner…they literally do everything but it is also productive for you to be organized and in-the-know. Planning your wedding or event is a fun time…stay organized and enjoy the ride!
